The engaging striped surface of Wall Panel 071 is created using dozens of layers of wool felt of various colors and thicknesses. The placement of each stripe is carefully considered as the panel is assembled, achieving a balanced composition with color and line weight. The result is a “must touch” surface that adds a playful, graphic note to any interior. This soft-surfaced felt wall panel can be composed either vertically or horizontally, and installs with an integrated cleat on the back of the anodized aluminum cradle. Designed for both residential and commercial environments, these felt panels are available in a wide range of custom colors and sizes. Like all the felt wall panels by Submaterial, this design has excellent acoustic properties.

The Construct wall hanging series is equally at home in modern residential or commercial interiors. Each hand-crafted assembly brings stainless steel hardware and rich surfaces together to create a modular, three-dimensional wall decor accessory. Available materials include kid-skin leather, painted construction felt, lacquered silver leaf and translucent polypropylene. The Construct series includes several pattern styles, and custom colors and sizes are available.

Created first for the Design After Dark 2011 event benefiting the Design Council of the Denver Art Museum, this playful group of forms is made by hand in soft wool felt. Each set contains 12 pieces ranging from 2" H to 14" H. Custom color sets are possible.

The deeply textured Wall Panel 068 is made with color-laminated 100% wool felt on an FSC certified plywood sub-panel. The rhythmic, grid-like composition of each panel is achieved using two colors of felt: a main body color, and an interlayer with a complimentary but contrasting color. Felt components are meticulously cut and assembled by hand, and the plywood sub-panel is sturdily constructed. Installation is simple using a concealed cleat and instructions tailored to each custom piece. As with our other felt wall panel designs, Wall Panel 068 has excellent acoustic properties. Many custom color combinations and sizes are available.
