Signature Design by Coffinier Ku Design, Ltd. We designed this desk for a client's study in the Hamptons. We love using Lucite and acrylic because of the clean, modern look and the ability to use thick slabs that are hard to achieve with glass. Having the leather inset helps bring a softness and more traditional element to this piece. When we brought the design to Plexi-Craft, we were very happy that they understood how to make this desk work structurally so it is not only beautiful but functional. We worked together to make sure that the leather insert which is actually wood wrapped with leather is perfectly flush with the Lucite top of the desk. This desk can absolutely be adapted for different sizes and with different leathers.
