Vessel by Decode

Influenced by the original Limited Edition Series, Vessel consists of a blown glass form designed specifically to celebrate the Plumen 001 bulb. When illuminated the glass tint mutes the light without hiding the form and produces an unexpected irregular reflection that appears holographic.
Beton by Decode

Produced exclusively for Decode in the UK, Beton is a series of decorative bowls that show the purity in form and contrast in finish that is achievable from an industrial material such as concrete. The polished smooth appearance of the exterior is in contrast to the matte tactile finish of the interior. Each piece is unique in that the way the internal air pockets evolve during the drying process is completely random. Note: Beton is not suitable for use with liquids Design Studio Betoniu/Stefan Schulz Finish Hand cast concrete with polished exterior and matte interior in white, light grey or dark grey. Dimensions Dia.40, 60, 80, 120, 140, 160, 180, 340 and 430mm. Large Dia.600mm version available on request. Also available in sets.

Orbital by Decode

The overall concept of Orbital stems from an appraisal of the way light from a bulb can be softened. Traditionally this is accomplished by using a translucent layer surrounding the bulb, or alternatively by reflecting the light off an opaque surface such that the original light source is not directly visible. Orbital instead uses internal reflection and refraction to accomplish this diffusion. Using three layers of hand-blown glass around the bulb causes the light to be reflected and refracted several times before it emerges, spreading it further and reducing the apparent glare. Design Viable London with Stewart Hearn Finish Grey hand-tinted mouth blown glass shades. Chromed fittings with white braided cable and white ceiling rose Light Source E27 Max.60W / Bulb not included Dimensions Dia.320mm

Wire Light by Decode

Wire Light

The Wire Light uses a deceptively simple array of wire loops to create the illusion of a twisted inner core. These loops create two concentric layers; the inner and hence denser layer interrupts and softens the light emanating from the bulb, while the outer layer deines the overall form of the light. Design Viable London Finish Shade in white, black or yellow powder-coat or chrome or copper plate Chromed fittings with white cable and white ceiling rose (except black shade with black cable and ceiling rose) Light Source E27 Max.60W / Suitable for low energy bulbs Dimensions / Weight H.500 / Dia.300mm / 3.5kg Maximum drop height 2000mm
Rock by Decode

Rock has been developed around the idea a lounge chair that can function by itself or in group. Angles at the front and back allow the chair not only to work when side by side but also in crescent shaped formations. It is made up of four vertically split sections, each with a diferent angled seating surface. These were driven by producing an ergonomic which is comfort- able whether upright or sat forward in more of a relaxed position. ReSPUN by Decode

ReSPUN signifies the first in a series of explorations in to the principles of creating new products from redundant industrial tooling. These masses of metal are given a new purpose through the reinvention of application, material and finish. Each form is a by product of an industrial component that has been chosen and refined for its purity in geometric form, simplicity of production and atypical scale within a lighting context. The use of thin walled aluminium allows for a super light shade to be produced that can be easily suspended.
