These lanterns were designed by Andrew Bevolo, Sr. and built by Master Coppersmith James Bevolo for the D.H. Holmes Department Store on World Famous Canal Street. These lanterns hung for decades directly above the infamous “Holmes Clock”; a popular meeting place for locals. They became so iconic, they were added to the D.H. Holmes shopping bags.
