Nguyen Dinh Vu is a contemporary Vietnamese artist who makes bold statements through his figurative works. His canvasses use bold brush strokes to evoke powerful emotions. His use of blacks, reds and greys create a unique configuration of images and conjure up the primitive unnamed passions within each of us. The symbolism of the self and objects in hispaintings are interpretations of Vu’s life and struggles.

Organic Indigo - Sublime by St. Frank

Organic Indigo - Sublime

St. Frank

This delicate piece is created in the Bamako workshop of Aboubakar Fofana. A calligrapher, artist, and textile designer, Fofana studied in Japan and France, as well as Mali. Fofana is driven by a passion to preserve and revitalize West Africa’s nearly lost tradition of natural indigo dyeing. The artist studied with the finest living indigo dye masters. In ancient times, from opulent Egypt to stark West Africa, fabric has been dyed a mysterious, beautiful blue. This indigo, or “gold blue,” is a sign of prestige and a symbol of the passage of the link between heaven and earth.

Imagine a jigsaw consisting of '000s of hand-crafted pieces, each cut to size, painted in its own unique shade of color, enhanced by a sprinkle of semi-precious stones ... that is the magnitude of the work and skill required to create these masterpieces which take over two months to complete. Christopher Guy's admiration for the female form can be seen throughout his work, and here he is paying homage to feminine sensuality through these Parisian dancers. The mosaics capture the gaiety, passion and energy of this great city's theatrical nightlife.

'Carnaval III' by epiphany glass

'Carnaval III'

epiphany glass

'Carnaval III' was commissioned for the corporate offices of a Detroit-based international business. It was designed with fun colorful shapes to engage employees and visitors. The strong architectural lines of the space provide a perfect canvas for this sculpture as it meanders through the 2nd floor down to the executive office corridor.

Armourcoat now offer custom-made - but competitively priced - artwork pieces, evolved from our range of applied seamless wall finishes. Our team of specialist designers and artisan plasterers based in Las Vegas can work with you to create true statement artwork - whether you are looking for a sculptured 3D form, or a creative stencil technique to overlay exquisite hand-applied Venetian plaster. Commercially we are equipped to scale up the process, if multiple pieces were required - perhaps for a hotel or retail chain. We can ensure a craftsman finish to complete that upscale look, including corporate logos or themed colors. Pieces are delivered direct from our workshop in custom-made foam packaging to ensure safe arrival on site. As all artwork, the pieces can be hung and removed as required. No specialist installation is required.
