These are a few of my favorite things – Thing 3: The quintessential Moorish cookbook
Today I will have to add something food related to my wish list. I’d like the entire set of cookbooks from Moro in London’s Exmouth Market.
The place has been famous well beyond the borders of London for its exceptional Moorish cuisine and dinner there is rewarding every time thanks, of course to the fabulous food but credit also goes to the buzzy atmosphere. People like going to Moro’s and it shows. An even better way to while away an hour between shopping and a play perhaps is to visit the place is for a round of Tapas:
Boquerones
Caperberries
Maize kernels
Grilled Chorizo
Jamon Iberico
Manchego with membrillo
Habas fritas
Piquillo Peppers
Sardinas
Syrian lentils
White asparagus
Pimientos de Padron
But if you can’t quite get there in the next week or two because you don’t actually live in or plan to visit London – shame really – then the next best thing has to be a Moro cookbook. Why, you ask, if I am such a fan don’t I already have their books? I do. I did. And I keep giving them away, buy them again, give them away again.
