I’m happy. I’m just returning from a great relaxing weekend with family and friends, this one notable for a beautiful picnic at a local Jazz festival. I promise to talk a bit more about the picnic, the fab wines and yes, I’ll print the recipe for the Warermelon and Red Pepper salad if you insist. But now back to design and a company that had started following us on Twitter over the weekend. And since sharing good design makes me happy as well let me introduce you to Form by Karsten Eriksen. I’ve read on Karsten’s website that he’s still looking for someone to produce “String” chair (above). I’ve got a good sense about this sort of thing and may just know who to connect him with, could turn into a design classic, right?
“Slide” appears to already be in production and I can understand why, at once playful, modern yet comfortable looking. I’m getting a distinct airline seat vibe here, wouldn’t that be a great interior concept for a plane? Hey Richard, your Virgins could use a little style boost, maybe have to have a look at this.
The quintessential tub chair also needs a production home – modern furniture manufacturers please gather around, there’s something to be said for this one. Keep scrolling for a few more pieces by the talented Dane who maintains a design studio in Denmark “Klapstuhl” as well as one near Liverpool.
And finally T Low.
Great weekend + great design = Happy V.
