Loving all the fun colors I found on Cindy Davis‘ website this morning. You see, I have a little habit. Every morning, after taking my daughter to school at an ungodly hour – frankly, who came up with the idea that teenagers, of all people, have to be made to start school at 7am ? – and after making enough coffee to wake a family of sloths, I go talent searching online. Very often I start with new followers on Twitter, that’s right, I check almost everyone that follows me to see what they do. This is where I’ve found some of the most amazing artisans and designers over the past two years and this morning was an especially fun surprise that I decided to share with you. Cindy Davis Art is whimsical and her big, bold brush strokes just scream optimism and “hello day – here I am”. Above is “Pink Lemonade”, acrylic on canvas, inspired by “cupcakes, candy, and landscapes found in the Arkansas Ozarks”.
Petals with Love are another piece from above referenced Ozarks collection. I love how she plays with color and shapes. Are you smiling yet?
Possibility Flowers is a collection where Cindy asks herself in how many color combinations she can possibly render this design. Have a look at her website to see how many cool color combinations she came up with. Can someone say textile collection???? I think this pattern would be fabulous on an armchair, right? Or maybe tile? You’re all creative folk, what are your thoughts?
And remarkably, despite the inherent sense of humour, whimsy and playfulness in all of Cindy’s pieces, they look rather grown up when clustered in a stylish environment, n’est-ce pas?
Thanks for following us on Twitter Cindy and keep the bold coming
