A Bedouin Bedroom for the 21 Century? A concept by Elena Colombo
This ‘Bedouin Bedroom’ is an idea by Elena Colombo, who’s amazing talent for dramatic presentation of fire and water we featured in a recent Modenus Blog. Its a spare room, tent, inflatable bed and maybe even a raft, but we’re not sure the Coast Guard would approve. The concept came form Elina’s time as a New Yorker living without a spare room for friends to crash in. She is planning outdoor and indoor versions and has some really funky ideas.
As well as all life’s essentials, you know, an Ipod dock, mini projection screen, LED lights, a mylar mirror, that sort of thing, the tent may possibley feature conductive mono fibers which change opacity when a charge is passed through them so that occupants can manage both lights and privacy. As well as being water and weather proof Colombo wants it to float. We’re not sue exactly why but who are we to question the genius of Elena Colombo?
