Architectural Digest Home Design Show – Exhibitor Preview – Part Three
This is the third of our round ups of the good friends of Modenus who you can find at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, held at Pier 94 in New York City 22 – 25 March. We have already waxed lyrical about the show. See you there!
Miele
Booth 251
Miele make some of our favourite things. We will be visiting them at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show and look forward to seeing wine fridges, steam ovens, coffee machines and famously reliable dish washers and vacuum cleaners. And if you think our list of favourite things is a little unorthodox you obviously haven’t been let down by an inferior dishwasher or vacuum cleaner. Maybe you have a Miele already.
Founded in Germany in 1899, Miele are very fond on the company slogan - ‘Immer Besser’, or ‘always better’ to you and me. With that philosophy they have grown to become the world’s largest family-owned and operated appliance company with more than 16,600 employees, 12 production facilities and representation in nearly 100 countries. Why not call in at the show and see why?
Nancy Egoi Nikkal
Booth M139
One of the stars of the Made section of the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, Nancy Egoi Nikkal offers works on paper, canvas, and giclees for public spaces and home décor. She is more than happy to customize size, media and color to suit and site, and will prepare multiples to be installed in a group.
Nancy’s work is exhibited nationally and internationally and included in public, private and museum collections in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the UK, Austria, India, Japan, New Zealand and the Republic of Singapore. This is a great opportunity to meet both the art and the artist.
Shiplights
Booth 613
Shiplights specializes in UL Listed interior / exterior lighting for residential and commercial use. And. of course, on ships. In fact, architects and designers have specified their lighting in yacht clubs, hotels, restaurants museums, private residences and yachts. The list of recent projects is long and impressive, too long to include here but you can always ask when you see them at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show.
Their solid brass lighting is available in over ten finishes ranging from un-lacquered brass to satin nickel to oil rubbed bronze and more. There is something rather reassuring about their handsome and very solid looking lights. Somehow you know that they will never let you down.
