Madison and Grow make a small range of exceptional wallpapers. With an evident Mid Century Modern feel they are grown up but never boring, bold without being loud. There are two collections, Martha’s Vineyard and Pasadena. Each collection contains a limited number of variations but everyone one of them is excellent. The designs are hand-drawn before being scanned in for pre-press production. Screens are created and each roll is hand silk screened using water based ink. Here at Modenus we have a thing for wallpaper, and many of the current indie designers offer a refreshing return of pattern and colour where expanses of washed out, muted shades have reigned supreme. Have a look at these designs and see if you can disagree. The design above is Eleanor in Peridot at Night from the Pasadena range.
Monique, shown in gilded mare is from the Martha’s Vineyard range and while muted in color still makes a beautifully bold modern luxe statement. I can’t help myself but this design makes me think of ZiaPriven lighting, the two should undoubtedly be in the same room, no?
We can’t decide if it’s the color combination or the pattern in Estella, but it’s a showstopper and really we want to order some of it if only to be able to say the color name “Berkshires on Parchment”. Not only creative in design but fabulous wordsmiths, the folks at Madison and Grow.
And finally, again from the Martha’s vineyard collection, Margot in Full Moon over the Bluffs. Makes me hum the irritatingly catchy tune from Little Mermaid “Under the Sea” .
