This is such a lovely piece. I love it for it’s blend of messages – hard blocky shape and then you see the delicate hand and arm with the intricate detailing. This piece manages to be masculine and feminine at the same time. I have loved India for a while now and this brings back fantastic memories of travelling to Mumbai and Goa with friends and of seeing one of my oldest and dearest friends getting married under the stars in Mumbai, her arms and feet adorned much like this. Beautiful.

This table breaks the traditional “rules” of furniture design. It is very contemporary. The FLAT (wrapping no less) graphics are counterpoint to the dynamic three dimensional wood form. The henna patterned arms recall ancient traditions, and the crisp twist of the wood is of this century. This piece would really liven up my living room!
