Designer Spotlight: Kosoy+Bouchard procelain
By Florence von Pelet
Michelle Kosoy and Pierre Bouchard of Kosoy+Bouchard out of Toronto certainly know how to blend function and delicate form within their handcrafted porcelain. The designers strive to create objects “that inspire and enhance everyday life.”
The Everyday Collection Nesting porcelain bowls are beautifully hand crafted with a feminine flutter. The bowls are remarkably delicate yet sturdy enough for everyday use whether you’re preparing gourmet meals or a bowl of cereal. We love the exquisite edge detail and subtle embossing.
As if the Nesting bowls weren’t unique and elegant enough, Kosoy+Bouchard also created a beautiful line of cylinder bowls crafted with intricate petal and flower design. We are loving the wide cylinder shape uncommon to most porcelain bowls.
Naturally, dinnerware should come as an entire set, including the cups. Kosoy+Bouchard’s porcelain cups still follow that feminine style and attention to detail and shape with their ribbed rim. The cups vary in size to add a little depth to the tablescape. The entire set is is so flirty, light and beautiful we want some in each of the soft pastel shades.
