Control 4 Connects is all about the intersection of home automation and design and crucial for any design professional looking to succeed in the next decade….plus it’s worth 0.1 CEU credits so, if you haven’t signed up yet – WHY NOT? Here’s the registration link.
Why is this so important for design professionals?
By the end of 2020, an estimated 12.86 billion smart home devices will be in consumer’s homes, making technology one of the fastest growing business opportunities for interior designers. The program is aimed at bridging the gap between technology integrators and the design community through an introduction – both to the different concepts of smart home technology and local integrators within one’s community. By the conclusion of the event, attendees will be able to answer the following four questions: What’s the difference between smart products and smart homes? What is true integration? How can technology help me stand out? And who can I connect with to help pull it all together?

Meet our Chicago Designhound: Jennifer Hyman
When Jennifer was 6 years old she built a dollhouse with her great grandfather. Then she became an interior designer.
Hyman Interiors is a Chicago based interior design firm located in the Logan Square neighborhood. In 2011, Jennifer mused there had to be a way to connect her experiences as an arts events planner, gallery curator and manager, event designer and stylist with her love of residential and commercial interior design. Hyman Interiors has grown as a full service interior design studio offering design consultation, internet design services, and furniture refabbing. She merges context, functionality, and sustainability using Merchandise Mart treasures and thrift store scores to create unexpected, edgy and eclectic interiors on all budget levels.
