Blogtour 2011 at London Design Festival has been absolutely incredible. Our group of design bloggers have managed to create so much buzz beforehand that we received the warmest welcome just about everywhere we went. BlogTour is even being hailed as the newest and most exciting concept in media. Well, I can’t speak for media as a whole but I can certainly speak for today, our last day in London. We will be visiting Decorex 2011 in just another couple of hours and the folks at the show have put together quite the agenda for us.
Our first stop will be taking us to Broosk Saib, the Bagdad born British designer, who’s trademark design style is classically elegant with a modern and often unexpected twist, has created this year’s Café at Decorex 2011. We will be seeing him today at noon so please stay tuned for more live images of Broosk and the space he’s designed.
Our second stop of the day takes us to the champagne bar, and we’re pretty sure the BlogTour team will be right at home there, to meet Martin Hulbert. Martin focuses much of his attention on hospitality design with projects like the Dorchester Hotel (above) , the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut and many more. His look his super glamorous and we can’t wait to see what he’s created for Decorex.
We will then get to tour some of Decorex’ most exiting exhibits:
Barneby Gates wallcoverings H250A
Design Nation – a collection of British Designers E 165
Crafted – a mentoring business for up and coming designers and artisans E161
Louise Body wallpaper A6
La Lou – the art of light A38
And finally, before heading to our Tweetup with Decorex’ Loves Bloggers winners and runners up, we will get to meet Nicky Haslam up close and personal.
