Before we begin our journal of events at KBIS 2014 with BlogTour Las Vegas, we want to thank the people that have made this stellar tour possible. Thank you to the team at KBIS for having stood the test of time and a brutal economic downturn. The show was a huge success and, we think, an indicator of where our industry is headed in 2014 and beyond – straight up, with only the sky being the limit.

Thank you also to the many brands that continued to support KBIS (you can see the full list as recognized by KBIS here) over the years and those brands that have been smart enough to leverage social media, including BlogTour as well as other social initiatives like #KBTribechat on Twitter and Interior Design Community on Google+ . Here are our thanks to a few of those visionary brands:
Thank you to BLANCO for continued support of Modenus, BlogTour and now also Modenus Talks and for hosting some of the most memorable BlogTour events around the US and Europe. (Shown above, amidst striking BlogTour smiles is BLANCO’s newest design, the ONE sink)
Thank you to Poggenpohl Kitchens for supporting BlogTour from its inception in 2011 through great events like the Penthouse tour in Las Vegas. It’s great to see you back at KBIS. (Shown above is a custom drawer system by Poggenpohl).
Thank you to Mr Steam (shown above is the contagious smile of Mr Steam’s Martha Orellana who is known by BlogTour alumni throughout the world) for knowing how to position not only your brand but the lifestyle of health and wellness you so successfully represent.
Thank you Cosentino for once again hosting BlogTour in great style and allowing us to get up close and personal with your newest product, Dekton. The material feels as good as it looks and we encourage our readers to order samples to see for themselves. For more about Dekton click here.
Thank you TOTO for not only spending the time to host individual media tours with BlogTour, we know it was a busy show and you focusing so much on our understanding of your brand meant a lot. Add to that a world class luncheon at Mario Batali’s Carnevino and you made a lot of bloggers very happy.
Thank you Formica for joining BlogTour for the first time and for inviting the Bold & Beautiful team to your Bold & Beautiful booth. You’ve certainly impressed our team with the new FX 180 collections. that make striking counter tops a possibility for every budget. It’s definitely not “your momma’s Formica”.
Thank you Wood Mode for also joining the ranks of BlogTour sponsors and for the welcome at your booth and your fabulous cocktail party. Dear readers, please stay tuned for a lot more coverage of new Wood Mode collections and finishes. Shown above a new wood grain laminate at Wood Mode that we all fell in love with.
Thank you to Walker Zanger for supporting not just BlogTour and Modenus Talks but also another #TopSecret project that we will soon be able to reveal. The charismatic and endlessly talented director of design AND marketing Jared Becker (above) shared his time and passion with us during a wonderful luncheon at Walker Zanger’s showroom in Las Vegas.
Thank you to first time BlogTour sponsor Subzero Wolf for co-hosting the exciting Mandarin Oriental Penthouse cocktail and dinner party. For you to actually rev up the cooking equipment in a $6 Million dollar penthouse and serve chef prepared dinners to a crowd of nearly 100 people is a testimony to the quality of your beautiful appliances.
And last, but certainly not least, we want to thank Top Knobs for joining BlogTour. The leading hardware manufacturer has recently launched several new collections (being carefully studied by yours truly) which were a huge hit with the BlogTour team and which we will cover in the days ahead. It was great to once again realize that our bloggers are very often also very loyal clients of our sponsors.
Please check back often for all the latest posts from BlogTour Vegas on BlogTour-at-a-Glance . Our teams of bloggers work very hard to share all of their stories and impressions about the tours and you can catch all the newest posts on that page.
