Tent London: Lighting and Daybed by Alexandra Raben Design
By Florence von Pelet
As Blogtour London approaches we cannot help but immerse ourselves in exploring exhibitors at Tent London, including Alexandra Raben Design.
It really was love at first sight with this Intricate lamp. It is made with a steel frame by JAS Blacksmiths out of Denmark and thread hand woven to form various patterns. The lamp is both feminine through the use of the soft material and edgy through the sharp angles of the steel frame. Designer Alexandra Raben says it best “Intricate – meaning very complex or detailed – is the exact description of this lamp.”
Alexandra Raben worked with designer Louise Roe to create this innovative daybed. The piece can be separated into two chairs and stools. The cushions may also be removed to create a long low table or multiple small tables. The outer cushions also fold upward to form a settee with arms. Can’t wait to try it in person.
