What’s this one all about, you ask? It’s really pretty much all in the title if you know California at all. It’s about design, architecture and wellness, one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines, wineries along the way and two thrilling cities. How we plan to squeeze all of this into four and a half days we have no idea but please follow our team on #BlogTourCali on Twitter to learn all about this epic journey. A few highlights are below:
Our team will be arriving in style at Santa Monica’s Huntley Hotel before being whisked away…
….to BlogTour sponsor DXV’s #DXVstrikeapose cocktail party and dinner in West Hollywood’s legendary Petit Ermitage.
The day begins with a delicious brunch at Miele in Beverly Hills before we head back to Santa Monica for a design filled day at WestEdge Design Fair in Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar. For all of our social media peeps please be sure to join us at the show from 1-2pm for #BlogToberFest hosted by Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet
The evening will also be spent at WestEdge’s kick off party (It was stellar last year) and will once again benefit Heal the Bay.
An early morning start will allow us to watch the sun rise over the California coast as we make our way to our first road trip stop…..
….Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. A morning of spa treatments and yoga followed by a luncheon on the resort’s terrace is brought to us by Mr Steam and sets the tone for the overarching theme of this tour, Living Well. We want to share a strong message that design is not just about space planning and material selections but about creating an environment that enhances the well being of the people within.
In the afternoon, our journey continues to Cambria on the Central Coast where we will be staying a three neighboring hotels that are all part of the Pacifica Hotels Group
Our evening will be spent doing what one should be doing in Central California, yes, that’s right, wine tasting. Modenus will be hosting dinner and wine tasting at Caliza Winery just outside of Paso Robles.
Our fourth day sees us on the road again, slowly traveling along Pacific Coast Highway through Big Sur and toward Monterrey …
…and onward to San Francisco…
Our first night will be spent with our friends and sponsors Zephyr Ventilation who will be hosting an exclusive dinner and meet and greet with architect and designer Fu Tung Cheng
Our final day will be all about design, with a tour of shops curated for us by the one and only Courtney Lake, principal designer and stylist at Monogram Decor and two time BlogTour participant. We can’t wait to see what he came up with!
To end this epic tour we will meet our friends at Miele one more time who will be hosting a mixology class followed by a chef prepared dinner at their new San Francisco showroom.
Please follow our bloggers and the tour on Twitter at #BlogTourCali for all the details from October 15 – 20.
