BlogTour Milan and how we all became Gessi’s Girls
BlogTour has seen its fair share of amazing showrooms and we work with some of the world’s most successful design brands and it might be tempting for us to think that we’ve seen it all. Well, we now know that we haven’t seen it all and at no point was that more apparent than at the showroom tour of Gessi Lab, the Milan based showroom come concept store of the eponymous brand.
We’ve featured BlogTour sponsor Gessi products before so this post is not about individual products but rather a journey through the Gessi experience that makes this a lifestyle brand as opposed to just a manufacturer of luxury plumbing products. All items shown in the image above are for sale with many of them being one of a kind pieces. We loved the console table that is higher than an ordinary coffee table and lower than a dining table, perfect for display and use of those dramatic, platinum clad Goccia sinks.
Gessi looks to impress its clientele not just with gorgeous products but to inspire with entire room settings that push the boundaries of design such as this living wall as backdrop to its bath collection.
The showroom, a former cinema that runs three stories below street level, is a maze of bridges, water features and lucite stairs offering perfect vignettes of its displays at every turn including, as shown here, from above.
Brass and, in this case, 24 carat gold, where a major trend in Milan and Gessi certainly embraced the elegant finish by showing it off on its Mimi collection, a style that is a perfect blend of modern lines with a traditional aesthetic.
Launching later this year in the US is another modern design with a classic twist, Eleganza, is set to target a more traditional audience without compromising on clean lines. Almost a deco feel that we think will do very well Stateside.
And no BlogTour is ever complete without a blogger in a luxurious bath tub except on this occasion BlogTour Milan’s Pamela Copeman was joined by Gessi’s managing director (and we like to think, supermodel) Luca Poletto. Oh yes, Gessi pulled all the stops to ensnare BlogTour.
We want to thank Gessi for sponsoring BlogTour Milan and Chasen West for his stunning photography.
