Small footprint, huge statement: A kitchen redo by Patricia Davis Brown Designs
More kitchen creativity from Patricia Davis Brown Designs as she transforms a very dated kitchen making it look so much bigger and even higher! Patty started by opening up the space to expose a lovely view of the coastal waters outside. She removed a whole corner and recreated a peninsula with a social gathering area using a mahogany radius top and soap stone combined. The cobalt blue glass pendants add just enough color and nicely define the interesting bar top shape.
By changing the walls she added visually to the size of the room without actually adding any square footage. By taking the cabinetry from the counter top to the ceiling she created an illusion of height while maximising storage space. Continuing the molding around the space also made it feel larger.
This kitchen is a small gem, thanks for sharing Patty!
