The Beverly faucet by Watermark Designs brings back Old Hollywood glam
Let’s be real: many of us in the design industry tend to favor modern clean lines over ornate and feminine. But the truth is, classic femininity and glamor never go out of style. Brooklyn-based bath manufacturer Watermark Designs recently proved this to be true with the debut of three new faucet collections: Anika, Haley and Beverly. The Beverly faucet (above) takes us back in time to when the screen was still silver and days were golden. Back to that Old Hollywood glam. Can’t you picture this faucet in a bath at the Beverly Hills Hotel or in Marilyn Monroe’s California home? The flair base and round, multi-faceted solid crystal levers totally accentuate the Monroe-esque curve of the spout. Uniting high polish finish and intricate detailing, all three collections exude a timelessness we can’t help but appreciate – no matter how modern our design sensibilities seem to lean
The Anika faucet by Watermark Designs
Watermark Designs, which hails from the design-forward Brooklyn, is known for its aesthetically modern bath collections and designer collaborations with some of Manhattan’s most creative architecture firms (see: Clodagh Signature and Incorporated Architecture & Design), but Avi Abel, CEO of Watermark Designs, tells us that “many interior designers continue to seek out timeless looks. It’s a language that still speaks in the luxury design world.” The Anika faucet, with its dramatically curved spout and all metal dual-levers or dual cross-handles, is at once classic and simple and chic enough to blend perfectly in a modern space.
The Haley faucet by Watermark Designs
Finally, the Haley faucet, is bold, masculine but still glamorous and oh-so-refined with it’s metal dual-levers with sleek inserts, which come in black, white and 24k gold. (Yes, you read that right. 24k gold.) What do you think? Are you feeling the glamor and sense of unapologetic luxury? Are timeless designs making a comeback this year? And can you believe all these pieces of bathroom jewelry are made in Brooklyn?
