Stil Novo Design's recycled oak wine barrels original creations, unique eco-friendly home & wedding decor, custom 'green' furniture is made with recycled French oak wine barrels. Why wine barrels? The chemical properties of oak itself play a significant role in winemaking, affecting the color, flavor, and texture of the wine; over time many of the oak properties get "leached" out of the barrel though and after 3 to 5 vintages the barrel is ready to be discarded. That's when we rescue, recycle and transform them into unique beauty to be given a new life in our customer's hands.
