Modern Bird Studios

Modern Bird Studios creates personalized, modern art from photographs that push the boundaries of traditional portraiture. Each work is a one-of-a-kind, original studio piece created with a combination of digital, hand, and painting processes. We isolate and decompose the most compelling aspects of a picture and “rebuild” the image through wood, acrylic, and paint. We offer our pieces on an Oak composite or on acrylic mounted to wood. The acrylic’s floating surface adds depth to what would otherwise be a two-dimensional image. The result is a marriage between technology, mixed mediums, and traditional painting.
