The gaze between the subject of my art and the viewer can induce a power play that can ultimately leave you feeling powerful or powerless. Penn began to become fascinated with the art of seduction when he was seduced by someone who drawn him into their gaze and stole his breath. When he paints the women who seduced and stole his breath, he is actually recreating the moment he first saw his wife.
