MAHOGANY SHTENDER ( 42" H x 21" W x 19"D) - "Shtender" is a Yiddish term for a book stand Jewish scholars use for studying, praying, or lecturing. This solid sapele mahogany lectern was built for a client's library. It features two adjustable shelves, providing plenty of storage. A classic frame-and-panel design, built with sturdy mortise and tenon construction, finished with top-quality brass hardware. With proper care this piece will surely become a cherished family heirloom. Signature and date hand-carved by the artist. More
