  • Limited Edition fine art photography from an award-winning photographer.Bridesmaid 1900 is an exotic tulip that has been handed down by bulb collectors since 1900. With its long, slender lipstick-red petals and splashes of white, Bridesmaid is reminiscent of the “broken tulips” that caused the collapse of the Dutch economy during Tulipmania in the 1600s. Richly patterned with flames and feathers of contrasting colors, “broken” tulips were the most prized tulips from the 1600s well into the 1800s. During the tulip craze, broken tulips would sometimes sell for the price of an entire town.
