Seeing in colour – Seville Orange

Designed by Tarruella & Lopez + Trenchs, the EME Fusion Hotel has won awards and plaudits since it opened in 2008.  Right in the middle of our favourite Spanish city its cool, luxurious bedrooms are in contrast to the hotel’s reception, bars and restaurants. Clever use of lighting plays a big part in creating the drama and romance we all want when checking in somewhere special.

Great hotels have a sense of drama. The warm inside contrasts wonderfully with the cool grey exterior.

Bold light and colour compliments the equally confident use of shape and glass.

Detail from the Tapas Bar, one of the hotels many restaurants and cafes.

From the 20 Pasos Cafe Lounge.

The rooftop pool, of course! Do you really want to stay somewhere without a rooftop pool with a view of a 14C Cathedrial?

By contrast, the bedrooms are cool and easy on the eye.

Really nice variance in light and texture, the orange-coral color seems to pull everything together.
