If you didn’t see yesterday’s preview of ICFF you missed out on some spectacular lights, beds, chairs and more. You can find it here. But don’t go now, have a look at today’s fantastic five first.
One of the people we are excited about running into is Katja Behre the creative genius behind Elli Popp a British brand of wallpapers, ceramics and fabrics which is gathering a cult following amongst lovers of its quirky, retro style. Her new Victorian Medley paper is shown above and, like all of her work, can be customised to the clients requirements in just about any way you can imagine. You really need to see this paper close up, and this is your chance! We are also hoping that she will bring along some of the work featuring delicate, painstaking illustrations of British Birds by Scottish Rock and Roll Legend Edwyn Collins, there is a remarkable story there which we promise to tell you soon!
We’ve never been big fans of fake books and always feel faintly depressed when we see them. This, however, is something else, vintage bookshelf wallpaper from English design consultancy Studio Mold. Suddenly the miserably and pointlessly fake becomes witty and fun. These very people also make, amongst other things a cowhide mouse mat and a chair with a seat made out of old tennis balls. Irresistible, aren’t they?
Another preview tomorrow!
