Samuel Heath , British makers of gorgeous collections of luxury bath fittings are supporting BlogTour for the second year running. For this we thank them but the story behind the lasting relationship runs deeper. Our CEO Veronika Miller was touring the National Kitchen and Bath Show in Las Vegas a few years ago and happened on the brand. She loved the finishes and the exquisite craftsmanship, took a few pictures and shared them on Twitter, right from the show floor. The response was overwhelming and people began sending messages telling her they were living through Modenus coverage from trade shows vicariously. Thus a friendship between Modenus and a great faucet line was born and the seed for BlogTour was planted.
After this little anecdote, allow us to introduce you to some of the company’s fine products.
Beginning with Samuel Heath newest collection, only recently launched during ICFF in New York City, Style Moderne is a striking take on Art Deco. The collection features key design elements synonymous with the period such as stepped forms, geometric faceted shapes and linear design. All Style Moderne products will be available in polished nickel, chrome plate and antique gold, with black chrome or main body finish controls.
Their Fairfield Collection is an interesting example of their work. It clearly takes inspiration from the Arts and Crafts and Aesthetic movement but is a balance of formal influences with flowing lines and architectural detailing and a contemporary feel.
The Antique Range is a classic with ornate period detailing. Everyone will know the disappointment of using a fixture which looks like it ought to be solid, substantial even, and should feel dependable. But then, on the very first touch everything seems to give a little, move a bit and constantly need tightening up. All those hours of hand crafting, all that solid brass, means that Samuel Heath fixtures feel just like they ought.
And Samuel Heath offer exactly the same high standards when they turn their hands to creating something distinctly contemporary. Their Xenon Range is bold, sculptural and sleek. Its very simplicity draws your attention. And, of course, you get that unrivaled quality.
Samuel Heath have been making solid brass ware from their premises in Birmingham, England since 1820. From start to finish the whole process is about quality. Each piece is crafted from the purest Northern European solid brass and is polished by hand to create a flawless finish. As the company says themselves, There are no shortcuts at Samuel Heath.
