The new glass lighting: clearly a great choice

Hand Blown Glass Lighting

Hand blown glass lighting has certainly always been a beautiful choice because of the beauty of the artful glass itself but now, with a focus on exposed bulbs and decorative chords we’re seeing more and more fun, fabulous and wonderfully chic. Here are some that caught our eye.

(1) We loved the thought process of designers Alessandro Zambelli and Saleb in their incorporation of a unique wooden cork-like finish. The Bouche lamp is both funky and functional with an inviting glow of color.

(2) When it comes to hand blown glass lighting, designer Esther Patterson takes the cake with her line of lighting in Curiousa & Curiousa. This large traditional glass table lamp is entirely custom with various options including a sandblasted shade or transparent style. Each section is blown separately, allowing for a variety of color combinations for this delicate and sexy table lamp.

(3) Designers Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova of Brokis blew us away with this eye catching Balloon lamp. The lamp can be utilized as both a floor or table lamp. The invisible balloon is adorned with a floating reflector and offered in an array of colors. We love the flexibility of the lamp, it can accommodate nearly any room from a traditional variation to rustic or even modern.

(4) Designer Samuel Wilkinson nails the whole idea of the exposed light bulb with this fabulous Vessel glass table light. Wilkinson integrated the award winning Plumen 001 light bulb in his design to resemble a “ship in a bottle”. The clear shade comes with a brass fitting and shades of bronze and grey sport black fittings.

(5) This LED Demi  lamp is sculptural in shape and emits a wonderfully warm light. Designer Matthias Stenberg made the lamp by hand using traditional methods. The oblong fixture is accentuated by an aluminum ring that divides the lamps to colorways.

(6) Finally, we’re sharing this collection of mushroom shaped lamps by designer Luciano Vistosi. The Ofale opaque glass table lights are available in three different sizes and certainly can brighten any library or room space with a vibrant glow and a sense of humor.
