Ad Home Design Show highlights – modern organic
The AD Home Design Show was, we’re told, a huge success this year and we certainly have to attest that the buzz and energy was unlike anything we’ve seen in recent shows. Designers were excited to find new inspiration, Bloggers are up to their neck in new material and Vendors were truly excited to be part of the show. Our very own Modenus Tweet Up was the icing on our cake with a great turnout and some of the best Bloody Marys & Mimosas we’ve ever tasted. If you’re a major even organizer and would like to have us gather designers and design bloggers at your event please apply only if you plan to outdo the Cucumber vodka based Bloody Marys that were offered by the generous folks at the Merchandise Mart. We’ll bring you more highlights of the show in the coming days so please check back often or peruse our live show feed on Modenus At Large. Above we’re showing Horgan Becket’s Pepper Table.
Chunky, organic and beautifully simple, the Hercules IV table by Eugene Stoltzfus Architects.
Douglas Thayer’s Copper Series Console features a cypress wood top on concrete legs with a copper stretcher for support.
We’ll have to shout it out, the guys at Cleveland Art are fun, nice, terribly cute and have a great eye for industrial strength design. (Yes we’re working on getting them onto Modenus and will not shy away from unabashed flattery). We’re showing you their conveyor chandelier.
And finally, the last highlight for today is a long time Modenus favorite John Strauss who has partnered with Green River Stone to create this coffee table. We were equally impressed with the table design and the fabulous stone panel used for the wall art. Love when designers team up to make a greater impact.
