Maybe this ought to be ‘People Modenus Loves’. Patricia Urquiola has won endless awards, Designer of the year, Elle Decor International design Award, awards from Chicago, awards from Cologne. We can see why. BiKnit chairs and chaise, designed for Moroso, features an over-sized version of stocking-stitch. And what’s more that stocking stitch is made out of a clever material that is more than happy if you decide to use this indoor furniture outdoors. We’ve sat on the chaise and it is as comfortable as it looks. What’s more the weave is big enough that you don’t wake up with a pattern on your face. Not that we would ever fall asleep on showroom furniture, of course.
We are allowed two things we love, aren’t we? This is another piece of furniture which we would never fall asleep on in a showroom, ok well maybe we would. We love a good sectional. At first sight Gentery Sofa, also for Moroso, is an uncomplicated piece of furniture with clean lines and inviting plump pillows. But it is the details that make it work. The balance between the thin, minimal legs and base and those enticing cushions makes for overwhelming elegance. And yes, it is as comfortable as it looks. And, pardon our blushes, but we did need waking up.
