This is exactly what you think it is, a giant pot with windows and doors. And yes, you can put it at the bottom of your garden, invite friends around, drink Champagne and, well, whatever takes your fancy. It is called the African Pot House, 3m to 3.5m in height and 2.5m wide and supplied by the wonderfully named Dingley Dell Big Pot Company. The bad news is that they only supply to the UK. That said, there may be an opportunity here for someone.
Constructed from light weight reinforced stone, Dingley Dell call it “Fibrostone”, the African Pot House weighs Approx 800kg and we think it absolutely lovely. And we can’t resist one more view of the inside.
Curl up in here with a book or a friend, or even a book and a friend, and the cares of the world will vanish for at least an afternoon. But what if you need somewhere a lot bigger with a similar sense of fun?
This is the Dome Home. It is built on site from sandwich section glass fibre reinforced concrete. With a height of 3.5 meters, 6 meters diameter and, using very elementary maths, a floor space of getting on for 30 square meters, that’s big enough for some serious fun. You could use it as a home gym, a pool house, a studio, a library or just somewhere to hide. That’s the beauty of anything which is, when you get down to it, a very posh version of a garden shed. It is your world and as lovely as you want to make it.
