For those who don’t already know Creative Edge Master Shop, the people responsible for these extraordinary floors in a chateau in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, they are the largest and most experienced independent water jet fabrication and design company in the United States. Using high tech, computer controlled water jets they are able to cut stone with outstanding results. And one of the pieces they have helped create for the aforementioned chateau has just won the prestigious 2012 Pinnacle Award from the Marble Institute of America.
Creative Edge Mastershop cut and shipped over 40,000 pieces of pre-assembled stone flooring that makes up this spectacular award winning floor, shown below, designed by Harri Aalto Design and George Kevo Koushagjian. Over twenty colors of cut stone make up the 2,400 square foot design, amongst them ‘Crema Marfil’, ‘Emperador Dark’, ‘Jerusalem Gold’, ‘Indus Gold’, ‘Quetzel Green’ and ‘French Vanilla’. The overall effect, however, is like being immersed in white, amber and gold.
The Pinnacle Award is a worldwide competition for excellence in natural stone. Natural stone professionals from around the globe entered the 2012 Pinnacle Awards competition sponsored by the Marble Institute of America. Our congratulation to Creative Edge Mastershop and Aalto Design for their role in this award winning masterpiece.
