Inspired by history , designed for today – Gina Pierce Design fabrics and wallpaper
Posted by Modenus in Interior Design
As I wander the streets of Whitechapel, Shoreditch and Spitalfields in London, something Gina had said about her designs comes to mind. She is inspired by locations, and their associated landscapes, people and memories. Images evoke events and cultures which have passed into history, are maybe almost forgotten, and which are recreated in print, to give a glimpse into the past. Her current collection and I are both inspired by the East End of London.
Her peeling paint collection (above) is available in textile and wallpaper form and made to order in a number of colors.
Florence Floral is a new addition to the collection and available in three colors, blue, yellow and green.
“Damask” in laser etched leather allows for pattern imprint onto the leather without reducing the strength or stability of the material.
“History Maps” also available in fabric and as wall paper and available in grey, parchment and pink. The inspiration to the close observer once again London’s East End and I think I’m spotting a few areas that may be located just south of the river. Great designs either way.
