Couture and Pret-a-Porter for chairs by Farg & Blanche

Modenus visited the Stockholm studios of Farg & Blanche as part of Stockholm Design week. We were charmed by Fredrik Farg and Emma Marga Blanche, a couple who produce furniture with enthusiasm and love.

Known as the F-A-B collection, the chairs can be used nude and bare or dressed in one of a series of hand made costumes.

Even unadorned, the chairs, which Farg and Blanche tell us are manufactured by the oldest shaker chair factories  in Sweden, are elegant in a distinctly Scandinavian way. You can then choose to dress them in one of the hand made outfits designed and sown by the creative couple.

Dressed, the chairs become distinctly glamorous and avantgarde. Their costumes range from simple elegant numbers, maybe the equivalent of a well tailored mini, to something more akin to a full evening dress. There is a considerable range of outfits and, if you ask nicely, Farg and Blanche will tailor make one just for you.
