BlogTour sponsor spotlight: Poggenpohl Kitchens’ Porsche design

Poggenpohl, one of the most iconic brands in German kitchen manufacture and a doubtless symbol of exquisite craftsmanship, contemporary kitchen design and that German sense of perfection. The newest jewel in Poggenpohl’s design crown is the Porsche Design Kitchen P7340. As masculine as a kitchen can possibly get in muted mineral tones, super slim counter tops and the refined detail work that one would expect from anything carrying the Porsche name. We had a chance to see the kitchen up close during BlogTour 2011 in London and we can assure you it truly is as sexy, sleek and turbocharged as you would expect from the combination of Poggenpohl and Porsche.

But Poggenpohl doesn’t stop at Porsche. The company is now introducing colours which have never before been seen in a kitchen. The subtle mineral tones and textures of their exclusive Creative Accents range of finishes now bring the uncompromising style and luxury of Poggenpohl to a new generation of discerning homeowners. The deliberately muted and neutral tones have lasting appeal, yet consciously reflect the current trend towards more colour and warmth, with contrasting textures adding definition to the architectural shapes created.

And because a super sleek kitchen thrives on contrast, Poggenpohl’s Waterloo showroom is located in an abandoned railway tunnel. We were invited to a classic English breakfast with sausage butties and bucks fizz and had a chance to speak to the Poggenpohl design team and meet and mingle with some of our British peers. Good times and great design – what more can we ask for ?
