Collective gasps were heard yesterday in the design world as INTERIOR DESIGN Magazine announced the names of those in the running for the BoY (Best of the Year) Awards.
Awarded specifically to interiors products specified by the design trade, categories include furnishings, fixtures, flooring, fittings, cabinetry, and appliances as well as other areas with building materials, window treatments, wall coverings and accessories, the BoY award is the design industry’s coveted Oscar. Winners are decided via an online voting campaign with architects, designers, retailers, manufacturers and other design-industry professionals voting on their favorite products. BoY Award winners will be announced formally at a private ticketed event on Thursday, December 1 in New York City.
