Wright Brothers are fast becoming a London institution, and where better to end the first installment of Blogtour, our excursion to London Design Festival in the company of some of the most influential interior design bloggers in the US and Canada, than their new Soho restaurant.
Wright Brothers are already well established in the London foodie paradise of Borough Market and their new outlet, very handy for a hard afternoon’s shopping at nearby Liberty, has already won a loyal and enthusiastic clientele. And it is no wonder, they serve the freshest fish and shellfish from sustainable stocks, mainly sourced from small Cornish day boats. Their oysters come straight from their Duchy Oyster Farm on the Helford River in Cornwall, the British Isles or France, always embracing their “sea to plate” philosophy. And it’s not a bad place to call in for a glass or two of Champagne.
There is signature counter-seating on the lower-ground floor, ideal for those of us who love to perch or lean while we slurp, chatter, and admire the skills on display in the open plan kitchen and shucking counters. It’s all dark colours candles and hanging lights.
But most of all it is about Oysters, Seafood, Champagne, great conversation and more Oysters. The Modenus and mydeco.com co-sponsored dinner will be a great end to the first London leg of Blogtour. And we all know what the main topic of conversation is going to be – Blogtour New York City here we come!
