Sometimes it’s good to ask people about their inspiration. But Angela Adam’s work is so clearly all about her love of the natural world there is no need to ask.
Angela Adams grew up on an island twelve miles off the coast of Maine. The echos are there in her paintings, her rugs and her other designs. But for us it is the rugs that really convey the flow and motion of the sea and the wind swept land. Her designs are landscapes of texture, somehow soothing and exciting by turns.
Her highly sought after rugs are especially evocative with their natural feel, at least in part, due to the way in which they are produced. Angela is an enthusiast for hand-tufting, a technique that she reinvented to fit her own creativity.
You can see more of Angela’s work at her own website. These are a few of our favorites.

And, finally, where would we be without cushions and bags!
