Occasionally I try to update existing blogs. Sort of nice because we end up with a history of products this way and can show you how a collection has evolved. At the recent Coverings show in Orlando, I was able to meet – and have drinks with – Given Campbell, the vibrant and bold creator of, well, this vibrant and bold collection of hand printed wallpaper. And her newest products are positively shouting, some of them with an English accent. Here’s to you, Given!
Back by popular demand the “London Line”, inspired by a trip to London and showcasing all things quintessential about the city. From left to right: “Bubble and Squeak” a national dish really which you have to try when in town, “Elephant and Castle” an area (and tube station) in South London, that got it’s name from a pub located in this area in the 18th century and finally “Lift” which has a big importance to anyone who has ever taken a tube in London. If you end up at Russell Square station, take the lift no matter how long the queue (and there will be a queue) because the only other way up from the depth of the tube are 177 steps on the narrow spiral staircase with what must be 12″ risers. Finally “tube” which needs no explanation.
And from the “Swank” line, an array of stunning colors and patterns like “Sanguine” and “Fountain”.
I have to say this, it’s product lines like these and many of the ones we’ve recently blogged about that made me dream up Modenus in the first place. They, to this humble blogger, are what makes the design world go round and round.
