A few weeks ago I found myself in Cleveland, Ohio. Before you say, ‘What is in Cleveland?’ let me tell you that I did freestyle mixology there. But what I really want to tell you about is a bottle of Lithuanian Liqueur that is designed for deeply powerful healing.
What I didn’t know at the time was the cold and flu season was just around the corner. With a large community of Eastern Europeans in the Cleveland area, there are many opportunities for distillation and production of powerful cold curatives. One of these is named Krupnikas. I’m not sure what this means, but what I can tell you is each perfectly metered sip allows for really powerful healing. If you have a cold or the flu, find yourself a bottle of Krupnikas.
Krupnikas is like nothing else on the market. It would be a stretch to call it honey Jagermeister because the flavor, although herbal in profile is woven with enough alcohol to power a steel-mill. There is something sweet in there, probably the wildflower honey, but then the north of 140 proof spirits really get moving beneath your palate. There are hot chili like spices in there too. Thai food lovers would understand that slow burn. It just envelops your palate. There is no way to escape it. If you contract the grippe as I have, a shot or two of the Krupnikas in your tea or directly from the shot-glass will give you nearly instant healing. Whatever your malady.
Those Lithuanians really know how to heal. Just make your way over to the Velvet Tango Room and order some.
Honey, herbs and spices.. Is there anything more you’d like to know? I’m growing weary of the cold, the snow and the never ending fevers. Are you listening to me?
I didn’t think so.
