Design historian and materials specialist, Grace Jeffers, will take you through the current state of endangered woods and forests. She will provide information on endangered woods, tips for how to insure the woods you use are properly sourced, as well as sustainable options for achieving sought after exotic wood looks. Building Balance: Culture, Context & Inclusion in Design. Sponsored by OTHR.
International Women’s Day is a time to reflect and celebrate balance, equality, diversity and opportunity in our lives and our industries. This raises the question: how do we, as individuals and as an industry, begin to identify and solve this problem?
Join Kate McTigue of OTHR, Jaime Derringer of Design Milk, Patrizia Moroso of Moroso, Jean Lin of Colony, Alyse Archer-Coite of A/D/O and Mimi Hoang of nARCHITECTS for a discussion on the value and need for a more diverse design ecosystem. Professionals and enthusiasts alike will walk away with a deeper understanding of the value of a more diverse industry and actionable tools to do our part in shifting the landscape of design.
