What would be in your BlogTourNYC goodie bag?

This time next week I will be in New York for Blog Tour NYC. There is a long list of sponsors who I am extremely thankful to for providing this opportunity to me (and 14 other amazing bloggers) to spend time seeing the best NYC has to offer. But what if they were giving us a goodie bag after our trip? Which products would I like to see in there? I thought it would be fun to look at the product range of each manufacturer and choose a little something for the wish list …

Obviously with such an esteemed list of sponsors everything won’t fit into one bag so today I am choosing my favourite products from 7 of the sponsors. I will be featuring the remaining sponsors tomorrow

Choosing a favourite product from the sponsor Miele takes some doing! I love it all, but for the goodie bag I have chosen their coffee maker. As a confirmed coffee drinker (ok addict!) – and an Nespresso convert the built in capsule-drive coffee system is the perfect choice from Miele.

We all need to keep cool and Big Ass Fans really are the experts. This is an easy decision, it has to be the Isis fan. I might have to raise my ceilings and extend my home but this is what a modern day ceiling fan should look like.

My next featured sponsor means a much harder decision. I have been a fan of Vitra for many years, often specifying their furniture for clients but never purchasing anything myself. I think I will go very modern and choose the Suita Sofa for the goodie bag. It was designed in 2010 by Antonio Citterio – say no more?

Choosing a favourite product from sponsor Wallunica isn’t easy. Not only do they have a huge range of stock items but they will also print anything you want onto wallpaper. I really like the Buds design from their classic range so will include this design in our goodie bag.

Our next featured sponsor is Rotsen Furniture. This is another hard decision, the natural beauty of their furniture makes choosing one piece almost impossible. I am going to choose one of the wooden slabs for the goodie bag, their beauty is breathtaking.

The goodie bag is getting rather full now so we need smaller items. From the sponsor Blanco I will choose the Culina tap. Recently launched the tap features an ingenious flexible spray hose that you can remove when needed and then magnetically snaps back in place.

For the final item in today’s bag we are looking at the products of sponsor Axor. These wall mounted taps from designer Antonio Citterio would add style to any bathroom. A great final choice for today’s goodie bag.

Today’s bag is now complete! This post is really just a bit of fun – all of the Blog Tour NYC attendees are so thankful to the sponsors that we expect nothing from them. Well apart from sharing everything they can about their great products!

Please come back tomorrow and see what is in the second Blog Tour NYC goodie bag. In the meantime let me know which are your favourite products from today’s selection?

After years working in the corporate world, Andrew Dunning left the City to follow his true passion of Design, so he retrained in interior design and launched APD Interiors in 2004. The brand was launched with one aim: to allow people to have their dream home for an affordable price as Andrew firmly believes that good design doesn’t have to be expensive.

Since then the business has gone from strength to strength, Andrew has been featured in the Evening Standard, he writes a regular column for the London CityAM newsletter, and he contributes to the Rightmove.com blog. In addition APD Interiors also has its own blog providing regular interior design tips and ideas and Andrew provide daily twitter tips to his 8,000 followers.

Keeping an eye on comfort and practicality, while combining contemporary and traditional forms in projects, has seen APD Interiors win numerous commissions and praise from their clients. APD Interiors provides a design and build service to all its clients, aiming to take away all the headaches as they guide them from the design through planning to delivery. Current projects include a full house refurbishment in Islington, a glass box extension to a Grade II listed house in Central London and a budget bathroom in Crouch End. Each project offers different challenges but the objective remains to deliver cost effective design and build to all APD Interiors clients.
