Dare Studio at 100% Design and Design Junction London 2012 – unmissable

Blogtour London will be calling in at both 100% Design and Design Junction. That means at least two opportunities to see our friends at Dare Studio. Established by Sean Dare back in 2009, Dare Studio hand makes furniture to order with extraordinary attention to detail.

Tables by Dare StudioDare are taking the opportunity of London Design Festival to launch their Maya desk (top left) with its clean modern lines with the home office in mind. We couldn’t resist showing you some of our other favourite Dare Studio tables. So, continuing clockwise, top right is Jon Snow’s Modernist Desk. British readers will know Jon as a journalist and TV presenter and he helped design his ideal fuss free workstation which is for sale, exclusively at Liberty of London. Next to it is Dare Studio’s Drone, one of our favourite side tables with its angular forked base and elegant lines. And finally, next to it is Katakana made from Solid American Black Walnut or White Oak with a leather writing pad and drawer linings.

Katakana Chair by Dare StudioIt would be wrong to do a post about Dare Studio without drawing your attention to two of our favourite contemporary chairs. This is Katakana Chair, in the same series as the aforementioned side table. Again, made from American Black Walnut or White Oak, this time featuring a leather seat and back pads. If you get a chance to see it up close make sure you see the attention to detail in its construction.

Hardy Sofa by Dare StudioThe Hardy Sofa, wonderful when you don’t want to care about what’s behind you. As the other work in this post, designed by Sean Dare.  This is a modern twist on a classic, easy to get into, impossible to want to get out off. Available in leathers and velvets – which is also true for some of the BlogTour bloggers who will be admiring the work of Dare Studio very soon.
