Rise and shine, bloggers! Day 3 of BlogTour Cali began with a bus ride to the beautiful Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara. Mr. Steam’s Martha Orellana joined the tour to show us a thing or two about relaxing–the Tala way. After our rejuvenating morning at Bacara, we traveled North to a small, quaint seaside town called Cambria and visited the Caliza Winery for their annual harvest festival to share wine, bread, and laughs.
Once arrived at the Bacara Resort and Spa, we were led to a quiet lawn on a hillside that overlooked the ocean. We chaturunga-ed with the cool California sun above us, listening to the waves crash on the shore–a yoga experience better than any found in a studio.
The BlogTour Cali gang was lucky enough to be the first to try out TALA Bath & Beauty by Mr. Steam. Martha shared with us the proper way to TALA, steam shower included of course. Bringing the Hammam experience home is a wonderful way to take a glimpse into Moroccan culture.
Another day, another rooftop. Well, that is the BlogTour way. After the spa, the group reunited for a lunch of seafood salad and tomato soup. WIth flushed faces and full bellies, we took a last look at the Santa Barbara coastline and hopped on the BlogTour bus for our second and final destination of the day, Cambria.
Cambria is a hidden town that sits just along the coast. The bus stopped at four hotels along the water, nestled at the bottom of rolling Californian hills. One hotel (cottage, rather) could not hold this large bunch, so we grouped ourselves into fours and each checked into our cozy homes for the night.
The warmth of Cambria became more prominent as the night drew on. Caliza Winery hosted seven separate parties for their annual harvest festival, and the intimate setting fostered connections among all. Mr. Steam has been a BlogTour sponsor since the very beginning, and Martha has continued to prove that Mr. Steam is not just about steam showers; Mr. Steam is about people. Whether we’re making connections for our businesses or singing “That’s Amore” arm-in-arm around a table full of new friends and half full wine glasses, that is BlogTour.
