Before & After
Before and after – before you submit…
The Modenus “Before and After” feature has become massively popular. We can see from our analytics that designers and design enthusiasts call by to get ideas and find inspiration and we are receiving ever increasing numbers of submissions.
These notes guide you through what we need for a great submission and once you’re ready please email to beforeandafter@modenus.com
1. Subject
We receive, and love, lots of kitchens and bathrooms – please keep them coming! But we also want any other room, outside spaces, anything where you or your firm have brought about a transformation.
2. Pictures
We must have a picture of the project before and after! Ideally they should be of the same, or a similar view. The pictures we use are 325X325 pixels. Don’t let that put you off, we can resize bigger pictures and crop other shapes but it may be helpful to know that we will end up with two square shape pictures. After that we can put in more pictures of the completed project, maybe a few more before pictures but we do need those first two before and after pictures.
3. Words
Please tell us a little about the project. We need to know what the client’s aims were, what you did and, ideally, the client’s reaction. You may want to mention any suppliers or manufacturers you feel deserve an honourable mention.
4. Promotion
We will let you know when your Before and After has been published. We will, of course, tell our community about it via Twitter and Facebook. We would love you to do the same!
5. Just a thought
We have been inundated by submissions, but we still want more. This can mean that there is sometime a slight delay before your project is published. We have heard scurrilous rumours that submissions that are relatively ready to publish and that submissions from designers who are registered with Modenus get preferential treatment. Well we are only human – registration is easy and means there are lots of groovy things you can do!
