Bath design has just entered a new level of style/sex appeal/glamour or feel free to insert the attribute that best suits your first impression of Graff’s new AMETIS collection. The sleek shower column features rain head, body sprays, a dock for an optional hand shower and an integrated chromatherapy lighting system. To me, this is one of the most stunning bath fixture collections I’ve seen and I wholeheartedly applaud Graff for creating something that’s new, fresh, exhilarating and, dare I say it, different. Have a look below for more on AMETIS.
GRAFF has reached out to David Oppizzi of DCUBE to create the collection. To Davide, the design is “a symbol of the fusion between the Universe above and the oceans below; a futuristic ode to high design in the bathroom”.
Two rows of body sprays complement the rain head element without deterring from the shower’s sleek design for what I can only imagine to be a very gentle, embracing shower experience and I love the option of being able to switch from rain head to waterfall, all in a single element.
“Fluid and sensuous, AMETIS guides the water through the gentle curves of the faucet, providing a visual representation of the idea that life is a cycle” says Davide. I love the faucet design for it’s sculptural quality and the very appropriate use of highly polished chrome that emphasizes the faucet’s shadow play.
The faucet will be available in three finishes – polished chrome or powder coated matte black and white and it features an electronic system with a coloured ring which changes from red to blue and vice versa depending on changes in the water temperatures.
AMETIS won’t be available in the US until late Spring, early Summer but I can see where designers would want to start thinking about incorporating the collection in their upcoming concepts right now if they’re looking to wow a discerning client. Cost of the system: From $15,000 for the shower and from $1,500 for the faucet with LED option.
