Growing up in small-town Ohio couldn't have prepared Lisa Kahn for a fast-paced career in the interior design field. However, the values she grew up with are the foundation for her success. With her honesty, integrity and down-to-earth approach, Lisa can't help but appeal to her clientele. Graduating with a degree in Interior Design and Housing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Lisa started her career as Corporate Interior Designer for Lutron Electronics in Pennsylvania. After a four-year stint in sales, marketing and in-house design work, she moved to Boca Raton, Florida where she worked for a local residential interior designer. In 1998 Lisa moved to Naples and took a position with London Bay Homes, a developer/builder doing interior design work for their clients. After winning local, regional and national awards for her first large project, Lisa started Kahn Design Group in the summer of 2000.
The low budget, family house project posed a challenge of conveniently arranging multiple rooms in small area. Pre-reconstruction edges of the walls were toned down, in order to conform to the new, minimalistic aesthetics and letting two colors prevail in the interior was also the part of the concept. The white walls and the large mirrors make the space appear sizable. The wooden components of the interior bring an unifying ambience into play. The technical lighting illuminates the rooms without distracting the eye.
A complete makeover included adding custom beams to the ceiling along with contemporary LED lighting. This is a textural contemporary space, very warm and inviting, yet clean lines and no clutter! Dining chairs in the forefront by Bernhardt. Dining table was refinished to compliment the space and custom organic florals grace the tabble.
